Notes: The Auburn Police Department announced Tuesday it is ending its contract with Flock Safety, a company that makes automated license plate reader cameras. The department made the announcement on Facebook, saying the relationship with Flock is ending due to a "contractual defect." The post does not go into detail about what this defect is. As a result, all Flock cameras in Auburn have been deactivated, according to the Facebook post. The announcement comes as Flock cameras face severe pushback from residents across Massachusetts.
